Maize and Bean Project - Food for the Hungry!
In Kenya, the main food crop is maize and farming has been given first priority. All Kenyan citizens eat corn. Many people are farmers and some are peasants. Others don’t have anything. Most of these people were squatters in the white settlers’ farms during colonial rule in Kenya and this has caused a lot of havoc. These people remain landless. In addition, post-Election violence in Kenya during the years 1990-1992-1997-2007-2008 has left thousands of people landless and homeless.

Currently the church is full of widows, orphans and elderly people who are unable to meet their daily life needs. These people need help from the church. The most affected area is Rift Valley Province. In 2008 the church introduced food and clothing distribution programs. There is also a need for medical assistance due to malnutrition, polio, and malaria outbreaks, and spectacles for elderly ones who want to read the Word of God but are unable to do so because of short sight.
It is our desire to have an annual maize and bean farming project that will help meet some of these needs! Kindly partners with us to feed the hugry!
